đ±Turning Food Waste into Fertilizer: A Practical Sustainability Workshop in Thailand đ±
As part of our commitment to practical, everyday sustainability, we recently held a hands-on workshop demonstrating the use of enzymes in converting food waste into fertilizer.

On 16 July, Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients Thailand hosted a hands-on workshop on food waste composting, bringing together more than 50 participants both on-site at the Sorachai office and online. Organised by our Customer Service (CS) team, the session explored how a waste processing enzyme can be used to convert everyday food scraps into biofertilizer.

Supported by our Performance Chemicals Department, the workshop included a live demonstration of the composting process, showing how organic waste can be broken down efficiently with enzymatic support. The enzyme used is part of our product portfolio, highlighting the practical application of our ingredients in ESG-related initiatives.

This workshop forms part of our broader sustainability efforts to reduce waste and embed environmental awareness into daily operations. Feedback from participants was positive, with many expressing interest in trying the method themselves and learning more about practical, low-barrier ways to contribute to environmental responsibility. The team plans to continue developing simple and accessible ESG activities that align with our business and values.
