Journey through the world of Skin Microbiome
In order to adapt to and better service the dynamic needs of our customers, our Pharmaceuticals and Personal Care teams have partnered up with microbiome experts for an event about the latest innovations. In collaboration with Labio for the first time, we held a successful in-house workshop on “The Future of Microbiome for Beauty Solution” on August 28 in Bangkok. The aim of the workshop was to update customers from the pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industry on the latest technology, and share about products that utilise microbiome ingredients.
The workshop got off to a good start with a warm welcome and introduction from our own Mr. Phankom Ngamsaneh (Department Manager, Pharmaceuticals & Personal Care, JJIT) and Ms. Butsarawadee Amornchotipun (Sales Manager, Pharmaceuticals & Personal Care, JJIT).
Mr. Curtis Kang (Director of Sales & Marketing, Labio) and Mr. Eugene Baek (Team Leader – International Business, Labio), representatives of Labio, shared their insight on the K-Beauty trends of 2024. This was followed by an update on the global and South East Asian microbiome market trends delivered by Ms. Benjaporn Kumyong (Sales Executive, Pharmaceuticals & Personal Care, JJIT).
We had a near-100% participant turnout rate, with a total of 41 attendees who are R&D, entrepreneurs and lecturers interested in cosmetic innovations.
Eight products from Labio, mostly post-biotic ingredients with various functions in skincare and hair care, were presented to customers by Mr. Curtis Kang. These include the Bio-Placenta, Coolin, Scalp-Biome, Bio-Placenta Hair, Atobarriome, Desertica, Stratocare, and Fermentoil series. To enhance understanding, our Personal Care sales team provided support by giving summaries in the local Thai language at the end of each product presentation. With the support from our Regional Personal Care Laboratory, we also showcased prototype formulations incorporating Labio ingredients.
The workshop was wrapped up by a fun quiz game with special prizes.
This event went smoothly, with a high satisfaction rate from the attendees, especially towards the interactive format of the workshop. We would like to extend our gratitude to Labio for collaborating with us and generously sharing their expertise. We deeply appreciate everyone for participating, and for our teams in Thailand for organising the event.
Stay tuned for more events and collaborations in the future, and join us as we continue to navigate the ever-evolving world of cosmetic innovations!
