Bridging Innovation in Oral & Hair Care
Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients Philippines, together with suppliers KCI, Evonik, and Ogawa, hosted a seminar on oral and hair care innovations, combining technical insights, live demos, and interactive formulation sessions to connect market trends with practical applications.

On 14 August 2025, our Personal Care Team from Jebsen & Jessen Ingredients Philippines (JJIP), together with our key suppliers KCI, Evonik, and Ogawa, co-hosted the seminar “Functional Ingredients & Market Trends for Oral Care & Hair Care” at Discovery Suites Ortigas. The event drew an impressive 49 attendees from 26 companies, achieving 109% attendance versus confirmed registrations, a strong signal of market interest in oral and hair care innovations.

The day began with welcome remarks from Fajar Prasetyo, General Manager of JJIP, followed by an introduction of JJIP by Pharmaceuticals & Personal Care Department Manager, Mildred Reyes. Hosted by Sales Team members Audrey Carig and Roy de Jesus, the event was graced by our Regional Lab Team (Orranit Yodjan and Nichakan Saengpetch) and Regional Business Line Head, Ratana Vongmukdaporn, alongside our valued supplier partners.

In the technical sessions, Evonik highlighted the importance of silica in oral care applications, while Samyang KCI presented conditioning agents and rheology modifiers for hair care. Ogawa introduced their Deomaster concept, a masking flavor designed to prevent periodontal odor, and demonstrated how luxury fragrances can connect with emotion through Affective Engineering.

The afternoon program shifted to a more interactive format. After a lively Brain Buzz icebreaker game, where winners received prizes from Korea, Japan, and Thailand, the Regional Lab Team presented the basics of oral care health, ingredients, and market trends, followed by a live toothpaste formulation demo. KCI then shared insights into emerging hair care trends, recognizing hair care as an extension of scalp and skin care with treatment-driven solutions.

The highlight of the day was the Interactive CoLab, where participants collaborated in small groups to create their own oral and hair care prototypes using formulation guides. Customers then conducted sensory evaluations of their creations, which sparked enthusiastic engagement, friendly collaboration, and new connections among peers across the industry.

The seminar closed on a high note, with attendees leaving not only with new knowledge and ideas, but also with loot bags containing prototype kits, including a deodorizer spray with Polyfix ZRC 25GP and an oil diffuser with Ogawa fragrances.

The event achieved an excellent 90% satisfaction rating, with customers praising the content, interactivity, and opportunities to network. More importantly, it strengthened our positioning as a connector of suppliers and customers, combining technical expertise, lab innovation, and business partnership to deliver real value to the market.
